What can Malfunction offer to my event?
We offer as standard at least an hour and a half of quality live music and a great performance to match which is sure to liven up any function or wedding night you have planned.
We also offer an easy listening solo acoustic set by our lead singer Charlie Austen which can be perfect for making your evening stand out above the rest as well as a DJ service for before, in between and after our Malfunction sets.
What sort of music do you play?
We play music from every genre of popular music from the classics to the most modern chart music. Exactly what songs we play on any one night depends totally on the audience as we have no pre-determind set list but rather read the crowd as they night goes to ensure a perfectly tailored song list. If you particularly want to hear any songs from our repertoire or have a request not on it then please let us know. Click here to download our repertoire.
How long do you usually play for?
We usually play 2 x 45 minutes sets or 2 x 1 hour sets at some point between 8 - 12am but are always willing to make adjustments to fit into a particular night if arrangements are made while booking.
What time do you arrive and how long does it take to set up?
Our normal arrive time is 7:00pm which allows us to be set up and out of the way by 7:30pm. If you require us to arrive any earlier please ask at the time of booking.
Do you provide music when you're not playing and do you expect any refreshments?
We often work alongside DJs if you have one booked but if not then we can play appropriate music through our PA before our set and in our break which is never more than 15 minutes. We don't expect any refreshments or abuse any free bars but as a normal gig is at least 8 hours door-to-door we greatly appreciate anything you can offer.
What equipment do you have and what are you stage requirements?
We have equipment to fit venues of all shapes and sizes including our own amps and PA as well as our own lighting rig and DJ station. You are also more than welcome to use our PA for any speeches and announcements.
For the five of us in the band we need at least a 3m x 6m stage or area to play in and at least four mains sockets.
